There is a lot of free fruit to be had this year – and our community orchards have got some for you!
These apples are at Sandown Wetlands, Longwood Lane – just by the cycletrack. You can also find over 100 fruit trees free for the picking at Pan Country Park off Pan Lane, and there are more apples and cherries growing at Merstone Station.
Enjoy!

The sheep are back! Yes, our visiting four-legged mowers are back on duty at Pan Mill Meadows, Newport. Our work to restore this meadow to safe grazing condition last year seems to have paid off – they are enjoying the grass.

If you’re at Appley Park look out for our newest installation – the Ryde Frame!
With support from Goodleaf Tree Climbing and the Isle of Wight Council we have commissioned and installed a wonderful new feature at Appley Park. Made by creatives Dave Badman and Lisa Long at Ecclestone George.
The #RydeFrame is the perfect place to take a selfie with Ryde’s iconic Appley Tower. Have a go, and don’t forget to tag us into your selfies!
Thanks to the WightAID Foundation for this generous support! With the beautiful background of Golden Hill Country Park we received a big cheque (literally) from Sue Lucas of WightAID. This will go towards better information and signage across all our 30 sites.
